French Dish in Chinatown

Lunch today in Chinatown -- beef brisket in tomato sauce


Today's lunch at The Boss Bakery and Restaurant in Chinatown -- "French style" beef brisket with rice.

It's a misnomer, as there's nothing French about it.

The dish arrived with a literal mountain of rice, pieces of very tender beef brisket with slices of tomatoes, red and green capsicums and onion, generously coated in a tangy tomato sauce.

Nevertheless, it was delicious, and as usual took more than half of it home as leftovers!
